Grief and sorrow have once again engulfed members of the security apparatus in particular, all of us as Ugandans in general, after the power-greedy foreign despot, Tibuhaburwa Kagutema alias Museveni, killed our own Comrade in cold blood.
News of the killing of Herbert Kunda, who until his demise was assigned to guard high-ranking dignitaries (VVIPs) broke over the weekend.
Kunda (RIP) was accused of passing sensitive information to HE President Robert Kyagulanyi, warning him that his life might be in danger and by extension, helping him escape.
Kunda revealed what Museveni was planning to do to Kyagulanyi in the aftermath of the January elections, which Kyagulanyi won massively, only for Museveni to rig his victory.
What Kunda did in warning Kyagulanyi, whom he believed had genuinely won the Presidential elections, was considered treason by Museveni, and it is punishable by the death penalty.
It should be recalled that whoever enlists in the SFC takes an oath to pledge allegiance solely to Museveni, and failure to do so is treated as treason, punishable by death.
That is the fate of Late Comrade Herbert Kunda. He was mercilessly killed by fellow SFC operatives, and the regime quickly claimed that he died of “lung cancer” while at Nakasero Hospital.
SFC Commando Herbert Kunda was described as a special charismatic and talented soldier who was still youthful, energetic, committed to serve his country, Uganda , a free spirit that loved people and was loved by everyone who knew him.
Kunda’s fate should serve as a wake-up call to other military and police personnel. Museveni does not care about them, but only about how they sustain his crumbling regime.
Special condolences to the family, friends and all Ugandans.
