Grief and sorrow have, since yesterday, engulfed Ugandans both at home and in the diaspora following the untimely death of renowned political activist and opposition supporter, Marinos Alexandros.

Marinos (RIP) was mercilessly killed by the brutal intelligence services of ruthless dictator Museveni, as part of his ongoing ploy to weaken the opposition. Her ordeal began on March 30, 2020, when operatives from the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) abducted her in broad daylight.

Acting on the direct orders of criminal Museveni, dozens of CMI’s operatives and agents subjected her to horrific torture, repeatedly gang-raped her, and deliberately infected her with HIV and other sexually transmitted infections that slowly destroyed her health.

Her “crime” was simply that she played songs by the country’s leading opposition figure, H.E. Robert Kyagulanyi a.k.a. Bobi Wine, the man who continues to give the octogenarian dictator sleepless nights, as tired, long-oppressed Ugandans have already chosen this youthful and able leader over him.

Marinos spent a full month in Museveni’s torture chambers, where she endured unimaginable brutality before being dumped in her neighbourhood after the regime failed to fabricate any evidence against her to be tried by scarecrow kangaroo courts.

Upon her release, Marinos courageously revealed the details of her ordeal. The regime responded with repeated death threats, forcing her to flee to Kenya. Even in the refugee camp, Museveni’s agents attempted several times to assassinate her.

Marinos ultimately succumbed to the consequences of torture and the illnesses she contracted, including HIV, during her unlawful detention and abuse.

Her death tragically mirrors that of Hon. Muhammad Ssegirinya, the former Kawempe North MP, who was abducted by Museveni’s hit squad, injected with a slow-acting poison, and silenced because his rising political prominence both locally and internationally threatened the regime. Sigirinya’s wife and children are still manipulated and tormented by the bloodthirsty and power-hungry regimes operatives in attempt to concoct their narratives about his death.

Over the past four decades, the bloodthirsty dictator, Yoseri Rutabasiirwa aka Museveni has thrived on killing, silencing anyone he perceives as a threat to his grip on power. The list of victims of this ruthless murderous campaign is long, and justice must prevail in our country, Uganda

These are crimes for which the murderous criminal Museveni must answer, someday- soon. This power-hungry murderous criminal Museveni must know that having guns (bought by our taxpayers’ money) does not in any way put him above the law.

It is now more evident than ever before, that this swiftly ageing murderous power-hungry criminal – Museveni must go and the time is now.
