Things are increasingly falling apart within criminal despot Museveni’s crumbling junta. As expected, the regime’s own sycophants are at each other’s throats, fighting over the succession of the senile despot whom they know is no longer capable of running the affairs of the country.
On February 2, 2026, Ugandans were taken by surprise when the Member of Parliament for Kasambya County and a well-known staunch supporter of Museveni, Daudi Kabanda, took to X to accuse Odrek Rwabwogo, Museveni’s favourite son-in-law, of conniving with foreign powers to oust his father-in-law, blood-thirsty tribalistic tyrant, Museveni.
Kabanda claimed authoritatively that Rwabwogo, who has consistently shown interest in taking over from criminal Museveni, was acting with the support of one of the still-living outspoken NRM historical figures, Gen Kahinda Otafiire, and was actively involved in betraying Museveni to the Americans.
According to Kabanda, Rwabwogo exploited “several trips” to the United States, during which the MP alleges he met members of Congress and USA government officials.
“This also confirms the current attacks from some members of the Senate on the Ugandan government. We are also aware that he is being supported in this treachery by Otafiire,” Kabanda’s post read in part.
The recent development comes amid growing criticism from notable actors within the Trump administration, who have openly called out Museveni’s dictatorship, poor governance and illegitimacy.
Most prominently, Senator Jim Risch (R–Idaho), Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has boldly joined world leaders in condemning illegitimate dictator Museveni’s continued manoeuvres to rule for life at the expense of all Ugandans.
Persistent infighting and power struggles are precisely how the junta of this unapologetic despot will eventually collapse sooner than later.
Museveni’s downfall is imminent and inevitable. He must be held accountable for war crimes, crimes against humanity, and the countless atrocities he has inflicted on Ugandans over the past 40 years.
This blood-thirsty criminal despot #MuseveniMustGo and the time is now.
