The ever power-hungry despot, Gen Yoseri Tibuhaburwa Kagutema “Museveni”, has recently taken bold steps to legitimize his illegitimate rule by aligning with yet another global power bloc, this time potentially digging his own grave.
Uganda’s recent admission into BRICS, an alliance of nations seeking to challenge Western dominance marks a striking turn for criminal Museveni, who has been groomed, nurtured, and sustained by the very Western powers he now appears to be abandoning.
It is the same West that aided and abetted this shamelessly tyrant rise to power nearly four decades ago.
Museveni’s rush to join BRICS signals a desperate revolt against the West, which has lately shown signs of turning its back on him after decades of exploiting his regime to serve geopolitical interests, particularly in the Great Lakes Region.
For years, the West deployed Museveni, its senior African proxy, in various criminal endeavours, including the extrajudicial killing of Libyan President Muammar Gaddafi, inciting civil unrest across borders, and betraying fellow regional leaders.
Alias Museveni has not only prioritized foreign interests over national sovereignty but has also openly declared that he is not a servant of Ugandans, a subtle yet damning admission of his allegiance to those who smuggled him into power.
By running to BRICS, Museveni lays bare his desperation to secure political survival, even at the cost of selling out Uganda’s future.
Will this octogenarian power-hungry autocrat successfully manipulate two competing global powers, or is this going to be his final miscalculation and final end of his legacy marked by repression, selfishness and betrayal.
