The international community should intervene in the matters of our country, Uganda 🇺🇬 to stop this madness of illegitimate dictator – Museveni.
Power-hungry criminal Museveni has once again shocked the nation after openly bragging about killing scores of opposition supporters during the chaotic elections he mercilessly rigged before declaring himself the winner.
This follows Museveni’s deployment of a battalion of soldiers to Butambala, targeting the home of NUP’s outspoken MP, Muwanga Kivumbi, who has long been on his radar.
During the operation, 10 members of Kivumbi’s campaign team were killed, while 15 others were injured.
In a lengthy speech delivered on Sunday after proclaiming himself the winner of the election, the serial killer Museveni boasted about the carnage and dismissed the victims as “wrong” and “terrorist” members of the opposition.
True to form, Museveni went on to shoot himself in the foot by absurdly linking this dreadful attack to an opposition figure and to the infamous 2021 panga attacks that terrorized the Greater Masaka region.
These were nothing more than red-herring tactics that Museveni himself masterminded to frame and weaken the opposition, ploys he previously exploited to justify repression that ultimately led to the death of Kawempe North MP, Mohamed Ssegirinya (RIP).
Beyond the targeted attack on MP Kivumbi, Museveni also issued shoot-to-kill orders to his indoctrinated military and police forces, resulting in the deaths of dozens of opposition supporters across various parts of the country.
Extrajudicial killings, brutal abductions and torture became the regime’s preferred tool of intimidation, enabling Museveni to once again fraudulently secure a seventh term in office.
It must also be noted that all these crimes were carried out under the cover of a total internet shutdown deliberately imposed by Museveni to conceal the atrocities committed by his regime.
There is ample evidence linking blood-thirsty Museveni and his inner circle to grave crimes committed during the just-concluded elections. Whatever the case, Museveni will not get away with it.
The International Criminal Court (ICC) must step in and bring the notorious criminal Museveni to justice. He is not above the law.
