Kampala’s High Court has spent the past month watching a dramatic man testify against Kizza Besigye under a name that isn’t his own. Andrew Wilson, going by “Orlando,” has told Justice Emmanuel Baguma a story built almost entirely on his own admitted lies: a fictitious investment company, invented financiers, a fake $5 million offer, associates who don’t exist.

He says he built all of it to lure and hoodwink Besigye into a coup plot. Ask yourself a simpler question first. What does it say about a witness that deception is not incidental to his story, but the whole method of it?

Why would a white man suddenly start luring Besigye into a coup plot? Who hired him?

That question should sit at the center of this trial. Instead, it’s being treated as background noise while the state walks Wilson through eleven recording gadgets and a stack of video clips nobody can quite hear.

What they donโ€™t say is that Orlando met with Museveni about eight (08) months before he ever met Besigye. During his meeting with Museveni, Orlando was given a mission to put Besigye in a position that would make him die very soon because the foreign senile octogenarian Museveni was getting old and wouldnโ€™t accept Besigye to take power as the peopleโ€™s choice so he plotted for him using Orlando.

It is on record that the $5 million that is being referred to as a fake offer was in reality the payment Museveni gave to Orlando as advance payment and promised him another $5 million the day Besigye dies. All this is part of our hard-earned taxpayers money being used to kill fellow Ugandans.

Orlando is praying and wishing that Besigye dies before Museveni so that he can get his remaining $5 million.

In fact, Orlando’s own account of himself is that he is a professional liar. Not an occasional one. By his telling, he spent the better part of two years constructing a false identity, a false company, false partners, and a false $5 million bank account in Dubai (which is what Museveni Paid him to have Besigye framed) to gain the trust of a 69-year-old retired colonel and four-time presidential candidate.

He now asks the court to believe that everything he recorded during that operation is true, while everything he told Besigye during the same operation was completely false. That is a lot to ask of a court that has no way to independently verify most of what he says, because the man testifying invented the frame the whole story sits inside.

A witness whose profession is manufacturing false identity and craft false realities is not automatically wrong about what he says he captured. But he is also not the kind of witness whose word should be taken at face value, and Uganda’s prosecution has offered the court very little beyond that word.

This is precisely what we mean when we say that murderous power-greedy foreign criminal despot Tibuhaburwa Kagutema alias M7 has deliberately and systematically destroyed our country, Uganda ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฌ over the past four decades!
