It has now been five months since Col (Rtd) Dr Kizza Besigye, a four-time presidential candidate, was held incommunicado in the dungeons of the criminal despot, Gen. Yoseri Tibuhaburwa Kagutema a.k.a Museveni.

Besigye’s current ordeal, though shocking to many Ugandans, is the result of a long-standing plan hinted at years ago by none other than Gen Salim Saleh Rufu – Museveni’s half-Somali brother, who also serves as Uganda’s co-president and head of financial cartel. His earlier remarks prove that what Besigye is going through today was premeditated.

In November 1999, Gen. Saleh scornfully told Besigye who was then the Senior Military Advisor to the Minister of State for Defence, that he would be “isolated and crushed.”

This threat came shortly after Besigye courageously defied the status quo by publishing a powerful exposé describing Museveni’s regime as dishonest, opportunistic, and undemocratic.

Gen. Saleh’s pronouncements were gradually implemented, culminating late last year when Besigye was abducted in Nairobi on bogus charges, proof of Saleh’s hand in the ongoing persecution that has plagued our nation, especially the opposition.

Whenever anything bad happens to Col. Besigye, the responsibility lies squarely with Criminal Museveni and his brother, Gen. Saleh.
