As aging, power-hungry dictator Gen Yoseri Tibuhaburwa Kagutema “Museveni” edges closer to his long-delayed departure from State House, he is growing increasingly desperate resorting to absurd theatrics in a futile attempt to lure Ugandans into celebrating his non-existent legacy.

This week, Ugandans were left stunned when the internet was flooded with an image which is a PR stunt orchestrated by Museveni’s spin witch doctors at State House.

The image depicts Museveni and his co-president, despot Maama Elephantiasis, bowing before a multi-million-shilling statue of Museveni dressed in military fatigues and holding an AK-47 assault rifle.

At the base of the statue are the words: “Gen. Museveni, your legacy shall forever be celebrated.”

But what legacy, exactly?

Museveni’s so-called legacy can be summarized as mastering the art of corruption, masquerading nepotism, tribalism, silencing dissent with bullets, stripping Ugandans of their basic rights, and undermining the Constitution to a mere doormat.

His unapologetic attempt to glorify himself through this lifeless statue is a textbook move among failing dictators.

When they feel the ground crumble beneath their feet, they build monuments, not to celebrate power, but to bury their fear in stone, hoping history forgets what the people remember.

In Museveni’s case, this octogenarian despot is the root cause of every misery afflicting Uganda today.

The suffering endured by Ugandans has been deliberately engineered since he seized power 39 years ago, his calculated modus operandi for maintaining control.

Criminal Museveni will ultimately be discarded into the dustbin of history, remembered not as a statesman but as a notorious warmonger who turned Uganda into a banana republic and impoverished the nation across all sectors, solely to enrich himself and his cronies.

No statue will ever cleanse his blood tainted legacy. This is precisely what we mean when we say that power-hungry murderous criminal Kagutema Museveni has deliberately and systematically destroyed our country, Uganda 🇺🇬 over the past four decades.
