The ageing, power-hungry despot, Yoseri Tibuhaburwa Kagutama alias Museveni, has once again succeeded politically in coercing RO 69 Col Samson Mande who fled his dictatorship 24 years ago to return to Uganda. But Mande ought to tread carefully.
Last week, as Uganda celebrated its 63rd so-called Independence Anniversary, criminal Museveni as usual, stole the show to crown himself a hero this time boasting about having “reconciled” with his long-time rival and critic, Col Mande.
Col Mande, one of the banansiko and a top founding member of the NRA, has lived in exile in Sweden since 2001 after falling out with the thief-in-chief YK Museveni, whom he boldly condemned for protecting the mafias and kawukumi (embezzlers) draining the country’s economy in close collaboration with him.
To everyone’s surprise, Col Mande who for the past two and a half decades has fought tooth and nail against Museveni’s tyranny, appeared unusually submissive, even admitting to having “reconciled” with the very oppressor who long branded him an “enemy of the state.”
And that’s exactly where Col. Mande’s trouble begins, whether he likes it or not, his problem is far from over!
The colonel must tread cautiously, since his repatriation and the cheap political handouts he received did not go through the due legal process required for someone previously declared an “enemy of the state,” not merely an enemy of Museveni.
This effectively means that the state can, at any moment, arrest him and charge him with treason and terrorism, the very crimes previously levelled against him.
The truth is, criminal Museveni has never forgiven anyone in his life, unless they can prove absolute submission and that they will never oppose him again.
If this octogenarian tyrant, who is determined to rule for life, were truly interested in reconciling with his opponents, he would start with his former personal physician and friend, Col Dr Kizza Besigye, whom he continues to persecute in his kangaroo courts.
In this entire circus involving Col. Mande, Satan Museveni is simply trying to score cheap political points, hoodwinking the gullible into believing that he has suddenly become a forgiving statesman.
Comrade Mande must remain vigilant, as he risks being lured into framing or testifying against political prisoners. And once he’s served his purpose, he will be dumped just like many others who fell prey to Museveni’s deceitful trecherous political games.
