Disgraced power-greedy foreign despot Museveni has once again proved that he cares only about his individualistic interests after coercing the Parliament packed with his scarecrow sycophants into approving the deployment of troops to Gaza.
This came in response to a call by U.S. President Donald Trump’s Board of Peace to secure the enclave following Israel’s war in Gaza.
To everyone’s surprise, criminal Museveni’s brutal junta became the first publicly confirmed African nation to answer the call.
However, heartless despot Museveni is not driven by a desire for peace or any other noble cause. Rather, he intends to appease the Trump administration, which recently condemned his illegitimate rule and his continued violations of human rights and democratic principles.
That being said, every concerned Ugandan would wonder how such a deployment to the Middle East will actually benefit the country or its people at this critical moment, when Museveni’s personalised army has completely lost relevance back home and failed to protect Ugandans.
Senile Museveni has reduced the UPDF to a mere tool that he exploits to repress dissenting voices through extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, abductions, torture, and other grave violations many of which have been consistently condemned by the United States.
It should be recalled that last month, the U.S. Department of State issued a Level 4 travel advisory, strongly warning against travel to Uganda amid Museveni’s escalating campaign of abductions, enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and other serious human rights violations.
The move came months after U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R–Idaho), Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, called on the Trump administration to reassess the U.S. security relationship with Uganda, beginning with a review of whether sanctions are warranted under existing legal authorities.
With all this in mind, it is evident that the illegitimate despot Museveni is desperately seeking to clear his name before the very Western powers that once aided and abetted his rise to power but now appear increasingly determined to abandon him.
This deployment will ultimately come at the expense of our compatriots in the army, who could end up dying in a war that has nothing to do with our country.
This makes it imperative for every patriotic Ugandan to protest this maneuvers
